Soup and Cigarette Ads.

I originally wanted to talk about how honest Singaporeans are
based on something I encountered yesterday.

But on second thought... I'm too lazy to type it out. So I'll save it
for another day.

In any case, I almost thought I wld be having another of those
"rant-about-Mum-days" when she brought out the 4 day old soup
from the fridge and proceeded to warm it up. I was like "who drinks
4 day old soup man??? jeez??". As expected, she insisted on not
wasting soup, and started to talk about how she somehow always cooks extra,
and she doesn't want to cook everyday and how we got leftovers
because my dad refused to drink it four days ago.

I thought it'd get worse. But somehow it stopped there. Whew.
(Anyway the reason the soup is 4 days is simply becos we didn't have
dinner at home for the past 3 days, not becos there is a conspiracy to

waste food. Seriously man. But trying to tell her that.
)

Anyway, I came across a couple of interesting cigarette ads from America
in the 1950s while doing research for my History essay. (oh yes the deluge
has started)

Here's one featuring a doctor who smokes:

And other featuring "scientific evidence" for smoking:

Wow. My blog has pictures. Now that's a first.
